Ruffles Hen Hotel offers a home-from-home eggs-perience for your feathered friends on the edge of the small village of Kingsdon, Somerset and can offer your hens, along with their chap if they have one, the ultimate Bed and Breakfast egg-scape to the country.
If you have a holiday booked, and maybe unsure of the best option for ensuring continuity of care for your chickens, we offer your hens their own dedicated Eglu coop with a securely fenced run at our home.
Ruffles is based at Western Farm, a small holding with various livestock. We also keep our own small semi-commercial mixed breed and age flock of 120 hens who produce fabulous rich yolked flavoursome eggs
We give our hens considerably more space than the industry regulations require us to and ensure the well-being of each individual hen
Here at Ruffles we know that sometimes you need to go away and you'd like your pets cared for in their own home, and for this we offer a daily visiting service if you are within our local area.

Ruffles is run by Bex, with support from partner Paul. Bex has a wealth of experience working with a wide range of animals gained over many years in a number of settings.
On their smallholding their own menagerie includes hens, kept in small flocks to enable the best quality of life for them all. In addition they have several ponies, 2 inquisitive goats as well as sheep and a small herd of Dexter cattle belonging to Bex’s adult children. House pets include 3 cats.
